Our pharmacist can talk with the patient on which part of the day to take their medications. Some medications should be taken on an empty stomach one-half hour before eating breakfast like levothyroxine and other medications should be taken one-half after eating dinner such as Flomax (tamsulosin).
Some ways to remember to take your medication are an alarm clock, a reminder on the front of your fridge door, or a note in front of your medications. A pill reminder tray is useful to put their tablets in. Talk to your pharmacist to see if you are taking your medication at the appropriate time of day.
